Bishop Gorman High School Review

Bishop Gorman High School was founded in 1954 by the Clerics of St. Viator and moved to a new campus in 2007. With an enrollment of about 1500 students Bishop Gorman is the only Catholic High School in Southern Nevada.  For a complete list of our 2017-2018 Accomplishments, click here.

Academics

As a college preparatory school, Bishop Gorman has a 98% college bound rate. The Class of 2018 boasts four National Merit Scholarship Commended students, one National Merit Scholarship Finalist, three National Hispanic Scholars, one Harvard Book Prize winner, and was awarded over $30 million in scholarships. Bishop Gorman operates on a modified block schedule with block days on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Our college preparatory curriculum offers three tracks to meet your academic needs, College Prep, Honors and Scholars.  See the Course Guide for more information. 

Athletics

Bishop Gorman is the home of Gaels and has a rich tradition of athletic excellence with over 100 State Championships in our 60+ year history. The Class of 2018 also had 30 seniors receiving athletic scholarships to play at the college level.

Activities

Fine and Performing Arts

A variety of fine art classes are offered through our curriculum including ceramics, drawing, digital photography, guitar, orchestra, theatre, dance and much more.  The Bishop Gorman thespians have been Theatre State Champions 6 years in a row and have won three national titles.  There are many opportunities throughout the year to see our art students showcase their talents.  More information
