The application period for incoming 9th graders for the 2027-2028 school year will be available on our website starting Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and will remain open until Friday, January 22, 2027.
The application for transfer students for the 2027-2028 school year will be available on our website starting Wednesday, March 31, 2027.

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required for all incoming 9th grade applicants to Bishop Gorman High School.
On-campus testing will be offered on the following dates at Bishop Gorman High School:
Saturday, December 5, 2026 (Partner Schools only)
Saturday, January 9, 2027
Saturday, January 23, 2027
Check-in begins at 8:00 AM, and testing will conclude no later than 12:30 PM.
The HSPT is administered by Scholastic Testing Services and includes five sections: Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, Mathematics, and Language. Students will also complete an essay section. Please plan for a testing experience of approximately four (4) hours.
For families residing outside the Las Vegas area: If your student will be taking the HSPT at a location other than Bishop Gorman High School, please contact our Admissions Office at admissions@bishopgorman.org.
Be sure to include the name of the testing site and the scheduled test date so we can properly update your student’s admissions record.
Official out-of-state HSPT scores must be received by Friday, January 29, 2027, to be considered in the admissions process.

Applicants from partner schools with completed applications will receive an early admissions decision by Friday, December 18, 2026.
Applicants from non-partner schools with completed applications will receive an admissions decision by Friday, February 12, 2027.
Admission decision notifications are sent via email for applicants with completed applications, which include 6th, 7th, and 8th grade transcripts, recommendation forms, and High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores.
High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores are used for incoming 9th grade applicants as part of the admissions process and to assist with academic placement. In addition to helping determine acceptance, the results are used to recommend appropriate course placement prior to student registration for Bishop Gorman High School classes.
Admission decisions are based on a holistic review of each applicant, including academic performance, discipline and attendance records, teacher recommendations, and High School Placement Test scores (for incoming 9th grade students).
