Academic Requirements

COLLEGE PREP Program: 28 credits needed

HONORS Program: 28 credits needed including 8 honors or AP courses from SELECTED COURSE LIST taken during 4 years and a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA is required.  Students must also have 4 science credits and 3 world language credits in the same language.

 

SCHOLARS Program: 28 credits needed including 12 honors, scholars, and AP courses from SELECTED COURSE LIST taken during 4 years and a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA is required. Four of the 12 courses must be 9th and 10th grade scholars level courses. This scholars program must start with freshman year. Students must also have 4 science credits and 3 world language credits in the same language.

 

Students are only permitted to take 1 non-credit class per year (0.5 non-credits per semester).

Physical Education can be fulfilled by 2 credits in the classroom or 2 credits of BGHS sports or 2 credits of pre-approved off-campus activity.
