Letter to BGHS Parents

Dear Parents,                                                                            July 30, 2020

We are pleased to provide you with the following COVID-19 Reopening Plan (see button at the right) for our students to return to school this fall. Needless to say, this has been challenging and has required many hours of consultation, collaboration, and even a little creativity! We appreciate your patience as we conducted our due diligence to ensure that every avenue was explored and multiple concerns were addressed before we made a final commitment.

As described in the Reopening Plan, we are prepared to and have the capability for on-campus, five days a week full-time instruction. While it is our intention to begin the school year with students on campus, should circumstances change and we feel the safety of our community is at undue risk, we may feel the need to begin the school year online and transition to on-campus learning when conditions warrant.

The Reopening Plan provides two options for families to choose between for their educational needs.
  • Option 1 is On-Campus full-time in-person instruction five days a week with social distancing and safety measures in place.
  • Option 2 is Distance Learning – full-time online instruction with portions of classes being live streamed for students to participate from home.
Whichever option you choose, it is a semester long commitment through December 18, 2020.

Because of the additional expenses incurred to provide sanitation and mitigation for COVID-19 as well as additional technology requirements, the tuition for either option is the same. The tuition payment plan you chose when completing your Enrollment Contract will not change.

Please take some time to review the Reopening Plan and decide which option best suits the needs of your family. Once your decision is made, complete the Reopening Plan Acknowledgement and Selection Form (see button at the right) and submit it no later than Thursday, August 6th.

Again, thank you for your patience as we navigate through these uncharted waters. We are blessed to have a community who comes together in times of need and supports each other. We know this year will not be easy, but we are committed to providing your child with the best Catholic high school experience, given the challenges presented by COVID-19. We will continue to pray for you and your family and hope you will do the same for us.

Respectfully,
