Our center staff:
Mrs. Andrews is the Librarian. She first started teaching English at BGHS in 1986, and this is her tenth year as Librarian. Mrs. Andrews is proud to be a BGHS alum (class of '78).

The BGHS IMET Center is open during the academic year from 7:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and from 7:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Fridays.
The center houses more than 10,000 books and
subscribes to approximately 100 periodicals.
Our 16 computers provide students
with access to Follett,
the BGHS computerized catalog of books.
The center also houses a copier for student use at the cost of 10 cents per copy.

All computers provide students with Internet access.
This allows students to access
the center's subscription databases, which are:
EBSCOhost, a subscription site which includes several
periodical indexes and abstract databases,
as well as numerous full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals;
SIRS Knowledge Source, which includes the following:
SIRS Researcher:
a full-text, searchable periodical database, which includes articles on numerous topics selected from U.S. and international periodicals;
SIRS Government Reporter:
a full-text, searchable database of articles from government publications,in addition to historic documents, almanac information, and maps;
SIRS Renaissance:
a full-text, searchable database of articles and resources
pertaining to the arts and humanities; and
SIRS Web Select:
pre-selected web sites appropriate for research,
fully reviewed by SIRS staff members for appropriateness
and accuracy of content
Facts on File: Facts.com, a news and issues-oriented database with information from Reuters News; Issues and Controversies and Today's Science are also included.
Infotrac Databases, a selection of databases which contain
information on all subjects
reprinted from numerous Gale Group reference books
as well as scholarly and popular periodicals; and
Litfinder: Poetry a database of poetry,
biographical information on poets,
and essays on various poetic forms and genres.
Students may also access these sites from home;
they need only obtain the usernames and passwords
from a center staff member.
