Requirements for Transfer Students
________________________________________________________________

General admission requirements for transfer students:

Students applying for admission into sophomore or junior year, must fill out an application form, pay a $50.00 application fee, and provide a transcript of grades and health records.  Students wishing to transfer to Bishop Gorman High School should have a minimum GPA of 2.75 in their core classes, and no major disciplinary or attendance problems.  Core classes include English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Foreign Language.  All transfer students will be placed on academic and disciplinary probation for one semester following their acceptance.  Seniors will only be accepted at Bishop Gorman High School if there are extenuating circumstances, and each case will be evaluated individually.

Any student who has been expelled or is in the process of being expelled from their present school will not be considered for acceptance to Bishop Gorman High School.

Prospective parents and students are expected to be forthright in explaining any difficulties with the law, and/or recurrent involvement in the Juvenile Court System.  Withholding this information may lead to immediate dismissal of the student.
